The Walkie-Talkie: 20 Fenchurch Street is another of London’s famous landmarks also called ‘The Walkie-Talkie’ because of its rather '70's tech' shape. The 38-storey building is 525 ft tall and therefore it is the fifth tallest building in the City of London. The very top-floor is home to the 'Sky Garden' which opened its doors at the beginning of 2015. There are three restaurants to choose from: Fenchurch Street Bar and Grill (providing an outstanding dining experience with the finest ingredients), Darwin Brasserie (traditional British cuisine in prepared right in front of you) or SkyPod Bar (a cocktail destination with a London skyline to remember). There is no charge for visiting the Sky Garden, however, bookings are required and opening times are 7 days a week, from 10am-6pm on a weekday, 11am-9pm at the weekend.
The City Social is an elegant restaurant designed by the Michelin star chef Jason Atherton, based on the 24th floor of the iconic Tower 42 in the City of London. The menu showcases simple dishes from the best of British ingredients. City Social features a trendy cocktail bar, private dining room and a popular chef's table.
The Babylon is proudly spreading London's skyline on the seventh floor of The Roof Gardens in Kensington High Street. The award-winning food could best be described as contemporary British. Every Tuesday night from 7.30pm you can enjoy the smooth tunes of live jazz. On Friday and Saturday nights, guests can pay a visit to The Roof Gardens' private members' club located on the sixth floor to party in style. The gardens, with flamingos and exotic ducks, are open to the public free of charge. Please call the venue before you visit.
Minako: Rising up to the twenty third floor above the capital, Minako is the main restaurant at the Hilton Metropole on Edgware Road. It showcases some of London’s most memorable views with eastern fusion offering the best of Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, Vietnamese and Thai food. Freshly made sushi, tasty curries and noodle dishes are small but perfect for those who would like to try it all.
