Why Paddington?

From great transport links to vibrant streets and London’s only floating park – we have got it all!

From the Brunel Hotel in Paddington, it's only a 7 min walk to Paddington Station. From here, via the tube network you are easily connected to the whole of London. Jump on the Bakerloo Line and you will get to Madame Tussauds and The Sherlock Holmes Museum in a few minutes. Stay on the tube and you will get to busy Oxford Street and famous Piccadilly Circus very quickly. Heathrow Express whisks you away from the Airport to the buzz of the city in just 15 min.

7 min walk away lies Hyde Park and its landmarks such as Kensington Gardens, Serpentine Lake and Gallery through the leafy streets of Bayswater.

The area within Paddington where the Regent’s Canal joins with the Grand Union is called Little Venice. It is home to trendy eateries and a hippy village full of brightly coloured canal boats. Whether you want to laze about or make a splash, the Grand Union Canal has an activity for you. If you have got time to kill between trains or want to explore, pop by Darcie & May (floating restaurant and a rooftop bar), two canal boats that are moored permanently outside Paddington Station.

If you are a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine make sure you pop into one of the many cafes on Edgware Road.

Not so far from Paddington is the peaceful residential area of Maida Vale and St John’s Wood. Here you can find the famous street of Abbey Road where the Beatles iconic album cover was photographed in 1969 which is a short walk to the home of cricket at Lord's Cricket Ground.

The mainline station at Paddington has been associated with the marmalade loving children’s book character “Paddington Bear“ since 1958.

We have put together a list of local restaurants/gastropubs which are popular with our guests. Which one will you be visiting?
